Long ago, during the reign of the sixth Hung King, the fierce An invaders attacked our country. In the peaceful village of Giong, there lived a strange three-year-old boy. Unlike other children, he could not speak, laugh, or even walk.
One day, the King's messenger arrived, looking for a hero to save the nation. Suddenly, the quiet boy spoke his first words: "Please tell the King to make me an iron horse, an iron armor, and an iron rod."
From that day on, the boy grew up incredibly fast. The villagers lovingly shared their rice and eggplants to feed him, hoping he would protect them. When the iron horse arrived, the boy stretched his shoulders and transformed into a giant warrior.
He put on the armor, jumped onto the horse, and rode into battle. The magical horse breathed flames, burning the enemy. During the fight, when his iron rod broke, the hero calmly uprooted large clusters of bamboo nearby to use as weapons.
After defeating the invaders, Giong did not return to receive rewards. Instead, he took off his armor and ascended into the sky, leaving behind the legend of the Bamboo Hero. Today, the burnt bamboo marks are said to be traces of the horse's fire.
