Long ago, roosters had beautiful red crests on their heads, just like kings' crowns. The Rooster was very proud of his crest. He often walked around the garden, showing off his beauty to other animals.

One day, while walking in the forest, the Rooster heard a soft sobbing sound. He looked around and saw a small plant with pale green leaves, crying alone. The Rooster asked: "Why are you crying, little plant?"

The plant replied sadly: "I am crying because all the other flowers around me have beautiful colors. The Rose is red, the Sunflower is yellow, and the Orchid is purple. But I have no color at all. I am just a plain green plant."

The Rooster felt sympathy for the sad plant. He thought for a moment and said: "Don't cry. I will give you my red crest." The plant was shocked: "Really? But it is your most beautiful possession!" The Rooster smiled and said: "Sharing happiness makes me happier."

The Rooster placed his bright red crest onto the plant's head. Immediately, the plant bloomed into a magnificent red flower, shaped exactly like a rooster's comb. It shone brightly under the sun. Since then, the Rooster no longer has a large crest, but the Cockscomb Flower (Hoa Mào Gà) blooms proudly, reminding everyone of the Rooster's kindness and generosity.
